OUR STORY
Hi, my name is Lyndsey and I am the owner of It's Simply the Pets. I have been obsessed with animals since the day I was born in 1991. As soon as I could speak I wanted to pet every animal I saw and even managed to explain to my mum I wanted to ride horses as young as 2.
My whole life has been pointing me in this direction. I built a really good reputation when I was younger, pet sitting straight out of high school, however I wanted to make my parents proud, so off to college and university I went - of course, to study animals. I still pet sat when I could and was employed by the college and university to look after their animals.
After gaining a BSc Honours degree, I found a job in an office (in hindsight I'm not quite sure why 😆) and worked my way up to a managerial position. A year or so later, on my late Grandmother's birthday, the stars aligned. I was offered weekend work at the Lazy Cat Cafe, I rented my house out and moved back in with my parents, took a leap of faith and set up my own business - It's Simply the Pets. I have continued to develop, becoming a certified Dog Trainer and after five very happy and successful years I now concentrate on dog training and training walks.

I am so so passionate about providing the best for you and your pets. I have completed various courses, including pet first aid, positive dog training, dog behaviour as well as studying animals at college and university. I continue to research and read about the latest animal topics, watch various seminars and take other animal related courses throughout the year to ensure I continue to provide the best service I can.
You can rest assured that I will love your pets as I would my own, all the training methods I use are scientific based which shows that positive random reinforcement is the best method you can use.
