TERMS & CONDITIONS
Acceptance of our services is deemed acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and an agreement to pay our fees on completion of the dog walking or house & pet sitting period.
Daily dog walking consists of a 60 minute visit. Most days a 60 minute walk will take place. In the case of extreme weather conditions, e.g. blinding rain or snow, or pet injury/ illness, or on client request, the dog will be given time outside to relieve him/herself and then the rest of the visit will be spent inside with client-approved activities.
All pets must be up to date with routine treatments i.e. worming, flea and vaccination treatments. Kennel cough vaccination is highly recommended too.
Client Authorisation
1. I agree to provide keys / arrange for keys to be available for It's Simply the Pets for the dog walking / pet sitting appointment.
2. I authorise It's Simply the Pets to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise It's Simply the Pets to utilise an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.
3. I agree to reimburse It's Simply the Pets for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.
4. Customer will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter or other persons by the pet. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless It's Simply the Pets in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet.
5. Client agrees to notify It's Simply the Pets of any concerns/complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.
6. Clients must give a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel any dog walking appointments or the full amount will be collected.
7. To cancel or alter the dates for pet sitting, if you give at least 30 days notice then you shall just forfeit your deposit. If you give 14-30 days notice then you shall forfeit 50% of the total fee and if you give less than 14 days notice then you shall forfeit 100% of the total fee. Please note there are no refunds if you collect your dog(s) early.
8. You consent to me using photographs of your pet taken by me, for use on my website/social media sites/printed materials. I will never sell copies/grant copyright to 3rd parties without your consent. Your personal data is stored for exclusive use by It's Simply the Pets and will not be provided to any third party.
Simply the Pets Responsibilities
9. It's Simply the Pets agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, compassionate and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against It's Simply the Pets, its employees or assigns, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter.
10. It's Simply the Pets accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments pet care will only be undertaken by It's Simply the Pets owner or employees, unless prearranged with client.
11. It's Simply the Pets will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given.
12. It's Simply the Pets is not responsible for damage incurred by pet escaping because of a faulty leash/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.
13. It's Simply the Pets will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
14. It is expressly understood that It's Simply the Pets shall not be held responsible for any damage to client’s property, or that of others, caused by client’s pets during the period in which they are in its care. Client has advised It's Simply the Pets of all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage.
15. This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. It's Simply the Pets reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, client may terminate this agreement at any time. There is no term of contract for daily dog walking.
16. It's Simply the Pets agrees to love and care for your pet whilst you are absent.
Home Owners Checklist – suggestions before you go
Neighbours
Please let your neighbours, friend and family know that you have a Sitter moving into your home to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
Security systems
If you have an alarm system you may need to make arrangements with the security company for a code and password specifically for your Sitter to use. Keys for windows locks should be left with your Sitter.
Contact information
Please leave contact information so your Sitter can stay in touch while you’re away. Including flight details.
Emergency contact
You may want to ask someone such as a friend, neighbour or relative etc to act as a nominated contact person for your Sitter to liaise with your absence
Spare keys
Leave a set of spare keys with your nominated contact person or your Sitter.
Rubbish collection & recycling services
Make a note of which days your rubbish and recycling is collected.
Animal documentation
All of your animal’s records should be put together in a folder for your Sitter’s easy access. These records could include:
· Immunisations.
· Microchip.
· Any lost pet register phone numbers.
· Medical history and current medications.
Animal supplies
Please stock up on enough supplies for your animals while you are away. These supplies could include the following:
· Food (including any special treats, chewing bones, drinks etc)
· Medications
· Toys
· Exercise equipment
· Identification tags, tattoo or microchip
· Bedding
· Cleaning and grooming equipment (medicated shampoo, towels, hoses, brushes)
· Waste collection equipment (bags, gloves, litter, disinfectant)
